1 7 The department of general services shall cooperate
1 8 with the legislative and judicial branches regarding
1 9 decisions involving the renovation, remodeling,
1 10 preparation, or assignment of space occupied or used
1 11 by the respective branches within the state capitol.
1 12 Of the amount appropriated in this section for the
1 13 fiscal year beginning July 1, 1999, $50,000 shall be
1 14 allocated to the department of cultural affairs to be
1 15 used to conduct a study to stabilize the battle flag
1 16 collection's condition by a professional flag
1 17 conservator and for other necessary expenses incurred
1 18 by the department, notwithstanding section 8.57,
1 19 subsection 5, paragraph "c"."
