  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-1588, to Senate File 468, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 8, by inserting after line 15 the
  1  5 following:  "It is the intent of the general assembly
  1  6 that as a condition of receiving the appropriation
  1  7 provided in this subsection, the department of
  1  8 corrections shall not enter into any agreement with a
  1  9 private for-profit agency or corporation for the
  1 10 purpose of transferring inmates under the custody of
  1 11 the department to a jail or correctional facility or
  1 12 institution in this state which is established,
  1 13 maintained, or operated by a private for-profit agency
  1 14 or corporation without prior approval by the general
  1 15 assembly."
