  1  1    Amend Senate File 137, as passed by the Senate, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, line 35, by striking the figure
  1  4 "1995," and inserting the following:  "1995 1999,".
  1  5    #2.  Page 2, line 1, by striking the word "three"
  1  6 and inserting the following:  "three four".
  1  7    #3.  Page 2, line 2, by striking the word "three"
  1  8 and inserting the following:  "three four".
  1  9    #4.  Page 2, by inserting after line 8 the
  1 10 following:
  1 11    "Sec.    .  REPORT ON INCOME TAX CHECKOFFS.  By
  1 12 January 31, 2000, the department of revenue and
  1 13 finance shall report to the general assembly on the
  1 14 manner by which the department currently administers
  1 15 the limitation on income tax checkoffs.  The
  1 16 department shall include in the report recommendations
  1 17 relating to criteria for inclusion of a checkoff on
  1 18 the income tax return form and the optimum number of
  1 19 checkoffs available for placement on the income tax
  1 20 return form."
  1 21    #5.  Page 2, by striking lines 10 through 13 and
  1 22 inserting the following:  "for tax years beginning on
  1 23 or after that date."
  1 24    #6.  Title page, line 2, by striking the word
  1 25 "arts," and inserting the following:  "arts and".
  1 26    #7.  Title page, line 3, by inserting after the
  1 27 word "appropriation," the following:  "relating to
  1 28 income tax checkoffs and reporting by the department
  1 29 of revenue and finance,".
  1 30    #8.  By renumbering as necessary.
