  1  1    Amend Senate File 449, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1. Page 1, line 4, by inserting after the word
  1  4 "language." the following:  "As a means of recognizing
  1  5 the prevalence of Iowans with German heritage in this
  1  6 state, the state of Iowa adopts the German language as
  1  7 the second official language of this state which may
  1  8 be used for the official reports and publications
  1  9 enumerated in this chapter and adopts the following as
  1 10 the official German slogan of this state:  "Ich bin
  1 11 ein Iowan.""
