1 14 "Sec. . HOURS OF SERVICE – STUDY. The state
1 15 department of transportation shall conduct a study
1 16 concerning hours of service for drivers of vehicles
1 17 operated for hire and designed to transport more than
1 18 six persons, including the driver. The study shall
1 19 not include hours of service for drivers of vehicles
1 20 offered to the public for hire that are used
1 21 principally in intracity operation and that are
1 22 regulated by local authorities pursuant to section
1 23 321.236. The department shall report the findings of
1 24 the study and make recommendations regarding such
1 25 findings to the general assembly by January 1, 2000."
