  1  1    Amend the Senate amendment, H-1405, to House File
  1  2 497, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the House,
  1  3 as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 21, the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "#   .  Page 6, by inserting after line 1 the
  1  7 following:
  1  8    "Sec.    .  Section 135C.2, subsection 5, paragraph
  1  9 b, Code 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1 10    b.  A facility must be located in an area zoned for
  1 11 single or multiple-family housing or in an
  1 12 unincorporated area and must be constructed in
  1 13 compliance with applicable local requirements and the
  1 14 rules adopted for the special classification by the
  1 15 state fire marshal in accordance with the concept of
  1 16 the least restrictive environment for the facility
  1 17 residents.  The rules adopted by the state fire
  1 18 marshal for the special classification shall be no
  1 19 more restrictive than the rules adopted by the state
  1 20 fire marshal for demonstration waiver project
  1 21 facilities pursuant to 1986 Iowa Acts, chapter 1246,
  1 22 section 206, subsection 2.  Local requirements shall
  1 23 not be more restrictive than the rules adopted for the
  1 24 special classification by the state fire marshal and
  1 25 the state building code requirements for single or
  1 26 multiple-family housing.""
  1 27    #2.  Page 1, by inserting after line 25 and
  1 28 inserting the following:
  1 29    "#   .  Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
  1 30 word "issues" the following:  "including those"."
  1 31    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
