  1  1    Amend Senate File 449, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Section 1.  Section 2.17, Code 1999, is amended by
  1  6 adding the following new unnumbered paragraph:
  1  7    NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH.  The official language
  1  8 used by the general assembly in debate, committee
  1  9 deliberations, and other oral communications shall be
  1 10 the English language and only the English language."
  1 11    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
