  1  1    Amend Senate File 449, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  By striking page 1, line 5, through page 2,
  1  4 line 24, and inserting the following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  IOWA'S CULTURAL DIVERSITY –
  1  6 APPROPRIATION TRANSFER.  Moneys appropriated for the
  1  7 fiscal year beginning July 1, 1999, to the department
  1  8 of economic development and allocated for the center
  1  9 for new Iowans in House File 745 or other law
  1 10 providing funding for such a center, if enacted by the
  1 11 Seventy-eighth General Assembly, 1999 Session, shall
  1 12 be transferred to the department of cultural affairs.
  1 13 The transferred moneys shall be used to develop, in
  1 14 cooperation with the department of education, program
  1 15 materials to educate students and the public regarding
  1 16 Iowa's cultural diversity."
  1 17    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
