  1  1    Amend House File 746 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 15, by inserting after line 12 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  LIVESTOCK CONTRACTING STUDY.  The
  1  5 legislative council is requested to establish an
  1  6 interim committee to study issues relating to
  1  7 practices involving contracts for the production and
  1  8 marketing of livestock, including but not limited to
  1  9 contracts executed by packers and cooperative
  1 10 associations.  The interim committee shall report the
  1 11 findings and recommendations of its study, including
  1 12 any proposed legislation, as required by the
  1 13 legislative council prior to the 2000 Session of the
  1 14 Seventy-eighth General Assembly."
  1 15    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
