  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  257.50  REPEAL.
  1  2    This chapter is repealed effective July 1, 2002.
  1  3    Sec. 2.  1989 Iowa Acts, chapter 135, section 135, is
  1  4 repealed.  
  1  5                           EXPLANATION
  1  6    This bill establishes a new section of Code chapter 257
  1  7 providing for the repeal of Code chapter 257 effective July 1,
  1  8 2002.  Code chapter 257 was previously subject to a repeal
  1  9 date of July 1, 2001, pursuant to 1989 Iowa Acts, chapter 135,
  1 10 section 135.  The bill repeals the provision in the 1989 Iowa
  1 11 Acts which had established the earlier repeal date.
