1 1 Section 1. Section 217.11, Code 1997, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 9A. The director of the department of
1 4 workforce development or the director's designee.
1 5 EXPLANATION
1 6 This bill relates to the family development and self-
1 7 sufficiency council in the department of human services by
1 8 providing for appointment of an additional member. This
1 9 council deals with research and grants to address long-term
1 10 dependency upon the family investment program and other
1 11 welfare programs. The additional member is the director of
1 12 the department of workforce development or the director's
1 13 designee.
