  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  481B.5A  HABITAT PROTECTION –
  1  2 TYRANNUS VERTICALIS.
  1  3    A person shall not destroy, remove, or injure the natural
  1  4 habitat of the wild bird classified as tyrannus verticalis,
  1  5 including any tree or shrub which is inhabited by the wild
  1  6 bird if the natural habitat is located on land owned by the
  1  7 state.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9    The bill prohibits a person from destroying, removing, or
  1 10 injuring the natural habitat of the wild bird classified as
  1 11 tyrannus verticalis, which is inhabited by the wild bird, if
  1 12 the natural habitat is located on land owned by the state.
