1 2 BY COMMITTEE ON RULES AND ADMINISTRATION
1 3 A Resolution relating to gubernatorial appointments and
1 4 other appointments requiring Senate confirmation.
1 5 WHEREAS, section 2.32, subsection 7, requires the
1 6 Governor to provide the Secretary of the Senate with a
1 7 list of all gubernatorial appointments requiring
1 8 Senate confirmation during this session by February 1;
1 9 and
1 10 WHEREAS, section 99D.6 requires the State Racing
1 11 and Gaming Commission to appoint an Administrator of
1 12 the Commission subject to confirmation by the Senate
1 13 under procedures established pursuant to section 2.32,
1 14 subsection 9; and
1 15 WHEREAS, this information has been submitted and is
1 16 on file in the office of the Secretary of the Senate;
1 17 and
1 18 WHEREAS, section 2.32, subsections 7 and 9, also
1 19 require that the Senate by resolution approve the list
1 20 of gubernatorial and other appointments or request
1 21 corrections by February 15; NOW THEREFORE,
1 22 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the following
1 23 list of appointment positions submitted by the
1 24 Governor and others pursuant to section 2.32,
1 25 subsections 7 and 9, and on file with the Secretary of
1 26 the Senate is approved:
