1 1 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS – ROCKWELL CITY
1 2 CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. There is appropriated from the rebuild
1 3 Iowa infrastructure fund created in section 8.57 to the
1 4 department of corrections for the fiscal year beginning July
1 5 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999, the following amount, or so
1 6 much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purpose
1 7 designated:
1 8 For construction of prison space to accommodate 400
1 9 additional minimum security beds at the north central
1 10 correctional facility at Rockwell City:
1 11 .................................................. $ 12,000,000
1 12 EXPLANATION
1 13 This bill appropriates $12 million from the rebuild Iowa
1 14 infrastructure fund to the department of corrections for the
1 15 construction of prison space to accommodate 400 additional
1 16 minimum security beds at the Rockwell City correctional
1 17 facility.
