1 1 Section 1. Section 483A.8, Code l997, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 4. The commission may provide, by rule,
1 4 for the issuance of an additional antlerless deer tag to a
1 5 person who has been issued a deer license and tag for one of
1 6 the annual seasons. The rules shall specify the number of
1 7 additional antlerless deer tags which may be issued, and the
1 8 season and zone in which the tag is valid. The fee for an
1 9 additional antlerless deer tag shall be five dollars for
1 10 residents and ten dollars for nonresidents.
1 11 EXPLANATION
1 12 This bill authorizes the natural resource commission of the
1 13 department of natural resources to provide, by rule, for the
1 14 issuance of an additional antlerless deer tag to a person who
1 15 has been issued a deer hunting license and tag during one of
1 16 the annual seasons. The fee for an additional deer tag is $5
1 17 for resident hunters and $10 for nonresident hunters.
