  1  1    Section 1.  Section 135.24, subsection 2, Code 1997, is
  1  2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
  1  3    NEW PARAGRAPH.  c.  Identification of the medical services
  1  4 to be provided under the program.  The medical services
  1  5 provided shall include obstetrical and gynecological medical
  1  6 services.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill provides that obstetrical and gynecological
  1  9 medical services are to be included in the medical services
  1 10 identified by rule of the Iowa department of public health to
  1 11 be provided under the volunteer health care provider program.
