1 1 Section 1. Section 135C.19, Code 1997, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 4. The department shall make available to
1 4 the public through electronic access the record of citations
1 5 which have been issued and have become final, corrective
1 6 actions taken, the date that the corrective actions were
1 7 completed, and any penalties imposed.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill requires the department of inspections and
1 10 appeals to provide information relating to health care
1 11 facilities to the public through electronic access. The
1 12 information required to be provided includes the record of
1 13 citations which have been issued and have become final,
1 14 corrective actions taken, the date the corrective actions were
1 15 completed, and any penalties imposed.
