  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-5749, to the House
  1  2 amendment, S-5540, to Senate File 2296, as amended,
  1  3 passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 24, by striking line 2 and inserting the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "Sec. ___.  NEW SECTION.  16.5A  NONPROFIT
  1  7 CORPORATIONS.
  1  8    Any nonprofit".
  1  9    #2.  Page 24, by striking line 11 and inserting the
  1 10 following:
  1 11    "Sec. ___.  NEW SECTION.  16.5B  HOUSING
  1 12 CORPORATION BOARD.
  1 13    The board of".
  1 14    #3.  Page 24, line 18, by inserting after the word
  1 15 "association." the following:  "One member of the
  1 16 board of directors shall be a representative of a
  1 17 nonprofit organization appointed by the governor
  1 18 subject to confirmation by the senate."
  1 19    #4.  Page 24, by inserting after line 18 the
  1 20 following:
  1 21    "Sec. ___.  NEW SECTION.  16.5C  NONPROFIT
  1 22 CORPORATION AUDIT.
  1 23    By January 15, 1999, the auditor of state shall
  1 24 conduct an audit, or review any previously completed
  1 25 audit, of any nonprofit corporation in existence which
  1 26 has been incorporated since January 1, 1989, by or in
  1 27 association with the Iowa finance authority, for the
  1 28 entire period since the corporation was incorporated.
  1 29 The auditor shall make or cause to be made a written
  1 30 report consistent with and similar to the type of
  1 31 report required under section 11.4.  The auditor of
  1 32 state may conduct similar additional audits of the
  1 33 same nonprofit corporation as the auditor deems
  1 34 necessary and the nonprofit corporation shall pay a
  1 35 fee for all audits conducted."
