1 32 to assist school districts in developing reading
1 33 recovery programs. From the moneys allocated in this
1 34 section, one hundred thousand dollars shall be
1 35 distributed to the reading recovery center, and the
1 36 remaining balance shall be distributed to the area
1 37 education agencies in the proportion that the number
1 38 of children who are eligible for free or reduced price
1 39 meals under the federal National School Lunch Act and
1 40 the federal Child Nutrition Act of 1966, 42 U.S.C. }
1 41 1751-1785, in the basic enrollment of grades one
1 42 through six in the area served by an agency, bears to
1 43 the sum of the number of children who are eligible for
1 44 free or reduced price meals under the federal National
1 45 School Lunch Act and the federal Child Nutrition Act
1 46 of 1966, 42 U.S.C. } 1751-1785, in the basic
1 47 enrollments of grades one through six in all of the
1 48 areas served by area education agencies in the state
1 49 for the budget year."
