1 3 #1. Page 81, by inserting after line 19 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. ___. STUDY OF ESTABLISHMENT OF A BENEFITS
1 6 ADVISORY BOARD. The public employees' retirement
1 7 system division shall study the possible establishment
1 8 of a benefits advisory board and shall make
1 9 recommendations concerning the establishment of a
1 10 benefits advisory board. The study shall consider the
1 11 duties to be assigned to a potential benefits advisory
1 12 board, the membership of the board and the manner of
1 13 selecting members to the board, and the authority of
1 14 the board concerning any recommendations it may be
1 15 empowered to make concerning benefits to be provided
1 16 to members of the Iowa public employees' retirement
1 17 system. The division shall submit a report concerning
1 18 the results of its study to the general assembly on or
1 19 before January 8, 1999, and shall include its findings
1 20 and any recommended proposal or proposals."
