1 7 #3. Page 62, by striking lines 29 through 34 and
1 8 inserting the following:
1 9 "Sec. ___. EFFECTIVE AND APPLICABILITY DATES –
1 10 DIRECTIONS TO CODE EDITOR.
1 11 1. Except as provided in subsection 2, this Act
1 12 takes effect January 1, 2000, and is applicable to
1 13 property tax assessment years beginning on or after
1 14 January 1, 2000, and to replacement tax years
1 15 beginning on or after January 1, 2000.
1 16 2. Notwithstanding subsection 1, section 437A.15,
1 17 subsection 7, as enacted in this Act, takes effect
1 18 upon enactment.
1 19 3. Except as specifically provided in this
1 20 section, the Code editor shall postdate all years
1 21 referenced in this Act by two years to reflect the
1 22 effective date in subsection 1."
1 23 #4. By renumbering and correcting internal
1 24 references as necessary.
