1 2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
1 3 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 29 through 33 and
1 4 inserting the following:
1 5 "1. A local sales and services tax imposed by a
1 6 county shall apply to all incorporated and
1 7 unincorporated areas of that county. The tax shall be
1 8 imposed after an election at which a majority of those
1 9 voting on the question of imposition of a local sales
1 10 and services tax for a duration of up to five years
1 11 favors imposition. A proposed tax for a duration of
1 12 six through ten years shall be approved if sixty
1 13 percent of those voting on the question of imposition
1 14 of the tax favors imposition."
1 15 #2. Page 3, by striking lines 4 through 8 and
1 16 inserting the following: "not above one percent, or
1 17 decreased after an election called and held in the
1 18 same manner and under the same".
1 19 #3. Page 3, line 10, by inserting after the word
1 20 "tax." the following: "A tax subject to a proposed
1 21 repeal, a rate decrease, or a rate increase for a
1 22 duration of five years or less shall be repealed or
1 23 changed in rate if a majority of those voting on the
1 24 question of the repeal or rate change favors the
1 25 repeal or rate change. A tax subject to a proposed
1 26 rate increase for a duration of six through ten years,
1 27 shall be subject to a sixty percent vote in favor of
1 28 the rate increase."
1 29 #4. Page 3, line 14, by striking the words "a
1 30 majority" and inserting the following: "the requisite
1 31 percentage".
1 32 #5. Page 3, line 33, by inserting after the word
1 33 "tax," the following: "in the case of a tax to be
1 34 imposed for up to a five-year duration, or if sixty
1 35 percent of those voting on the question of imposition
1 36 of the tax for a six through ten year duration favors
1 37 imposition of the tax,".
1 38 #6. Page 3, line 35, by striking the words
1 39 "specified for a" and inserting the following: "and
1 40 for the time specified".
1 41 #7. Page 4, line 1, by striking the words "ten-
1 42 year duration".
1 43 #8. Page 6, line 4, by inserting before the word
1 44 "The" the following: "1."
1 45 #9. Page 6, line 22, by inserting before the word
