1 1 Amend Senate File 2410 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 19, by inserting after line 16 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "___. Effective July 1, 1998, the department shall
1 5 revise the home and community-based services waiver
1 6 provision which requires that an individual must have
1 7 previously resided in an intermediate care facility
1 8 for persons with mental retardation in order to
1 9 receive supported employment under the waiver. The
1 10 revision shall allow a person with mental retardation
1 11 to receive supported employment under the waiver if
1 12 this option is cost effective as compared to other
1 13 service options available to that person. The
1 14 department shall adopt emergency rules to implement
1 15 the provisions of this subsection."
1 16 #2. By renumbering as necessary.
