1 3 #1. Page 6, line 17, by striking the word
1 4 "subsection" and inserting the following:
1 5 "subsections".
1 6 2. Page 6, by inserting after line 23 the
1 7 following:
1 8 "NEW SUBSECTION. 6B. An insurance company that
1 9 has issued financial liability coverage for a motor
1 10 vehicle registered in this state pursuant to this
1 11 chapter, shall not make any payments to a third party
1 12 in excess of three thousand dollars for damages to a
1 13 motor vehicle as a result of any claim made against
1 14 the owner of a motor vehicle covered by financial
1 15 liability coverage, unless such payment is also made
1 16 payable to the first lienholder of record who has a
1 17 security interest in the motor vehicle owned by the
1 18 third-party claimant. The insurance company, as
1 19 reimbursement for the company's expenses, shall retain
1 20 fifty dollars of the payment on any such claim if the
1 21 first lienholder is also listed as a payee."
