1 1 Amend Senate File 2280 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 9, by inserting after line 34 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "(10) Of the funds appropriated in this lettered
1 5 paragraph and allocated by the department to the Iowa
1 6 child death review team established in section 135.43,
1 7 $5,000 shall be used to establish a domestic abuse
1 8 death review team. The membership, authority, and
1 9 operation of the domestic abuse death review team
1 10 shall be patterned after the child death review team,
1 11 with modifications specific to domestic abuse to be
1 12 established by the department by rule. The department
1 13 shall coordinate administrative costs between the
1 14 child death review team and the domestic abuse death
1 15 review team, and shall submit prefiled legislation in
1 16 accordance with section 2.16 in advance of the
1 17 convening of the 1999 session of the general assembly
1 18 for codifying the domestic abuse death review team
1 19 provisions."
