1 1 Amend House File 2271, as passed by the House, as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 14 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. ___. Section 18.3, Code 1997, is amended by
1 6 adding the following new subsection:
1 7 NEW SUBSECTION. 10. Insuring motor vehicles owned
1 8 by the state. Insurance coverage may be provided
1 9 through a self-insurance program administered by the
1 10 department or purchased from an insurer. If the
1 11 department uses a self-insurance program, the
1 12 department shall maintain loss and exposure data for
1 13 vehicles under the jurisdiction of the state fleet
1 14 administrator. Upon request, state agencies shall
1 15 provide all loss and exposure information to the
1 16 department."
1 17 #2. By renumbering as necessary.
