1 3 #1. Page 6, by inserting after line 33 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. ___. Section 321.189, subsection 9, Code
1 6 Supplement 1997, is amended to read as follows:
1 7 "9. Motorcycle rider education fund. The
1 8 motorcycle rider education fund is established in the
1 9 office of the treasurer of state. The moneys credited
1 10 to the fund are appropriated to the department to be
1 11 used to establish new motorcycle rider education
1 12 courses and reimburse sponsors of motorcycle rider
1 13 education courses for the costs of providing
1 14 motorcycle rider education courses approved and
1 15 established by the department. The department shall
1 16 adopt rules under chapter 17A providing for the
1 17 distribution of moneys to sponsors of motorcycle rider
1 18 education courses based upon the costs of providing
1 19 the education courses. The department shall annually
1 20 report on January 15 to the general assembly the
1 21 distributions made to each sponsor."
