1 1 Amend Senate File 2398, as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 1, line 28, by inserting after the word
1 3 "life." the following: "In determining whether a
1 4 conviction is a first or second conviction under this
1 5 subsection, a prior conviction for a criminal offense
1 6 committed in another jurisdiction which would
1 7 constitute a violation of section 709.3, subsection 2,
1 8 if committed in this state, shall be considered a
1 9 conviction under this subsection."
1 10 #2. Page 2, line 9, by inserting after the word
1 11 "release." the following: "In determining whether a
1 12 conviction is a first or second conviction under this
1 13 section, a prior conviction for a criminal offense
1 14 committed in another jurisdiction which would
1 15 constitute a violation of section 709.3, subsection 2,
1 16 if committed in this state, shall be considered a
1 17 conviction under this section."
