  1  1    Amend Senate File 2366 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 13, by inserting after line 16 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec. ___.  Section 257.1, subsection 2, unnumbered
  1  5 paragraph 2, Code 1997, is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    For the budget year commencing July 1, 1996, and
  1  7 for each succeeding budget year the regular program
  1  8 foundation base per pupil is eighty-seven and five-
  1  9 tenths percent of the regular program state cost per
  1 10 pupil, except that the regular program foundation base
  1 11 per pupil for the portion of weighted enrollment that
  1 12 is additional enrollment because of special education
  1 13 is seventy-nine eighty-seven and five tenths percent
  1 14 of the regular program state cost per pupil.  For the
  1 15 budget year commencing July 1, 1991, and for each
  1 16 succeeding budget year the special education support
  1 17 services foundation base is seventy-nine eighty-seven
  1 18 and five-tenths percent of the special education
  1 19 support services state cost per pupil.  The combined
  1 20 foundation base is the sum of the regular program
  1 21 foundation base and the special education support
  1 22 services foundation base."
