  1  1    Amend House File 722, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 2, line 1, by inserting after the word
  1  4 "funds." the following:  "In selecting funds for
  1  5 investment, the board shall seek to maximize benefits
  1  6 which inure to seed and venture capital opportunities
  1  7 in Iowa."
  1  8    #2.  Page 3, line 11, by inserting after the word
  1  9 "policies," the following:  "and".
  1 10    #3.  Page 3, line 18, by striking the words "cash
  1 11 invested in" and inserting the following:  "net losses
  1 12 incurred by".
  1 13    #4.  Page 3, line 19, by inserting after the word
  1 14 "board." the following:  "The aggregate amount of tax
  1 15 credits issued under this section shall not exceed
  1 16 fifty million dollars."
  1 17    #5.  Page 3, line 25, by inserting after the word
  1 18 "trust." the following:  "A taxpayer shall not claim
  1 19 tax credits under this section which exceed the total
  1 20 amount invested by the taxpayer in the Iowa capital
  1 21 investment board."
  1 22    #6.  Page 3, line 29, by striking the words
  1 23 "carried back to" and inserting the following:  "used
  1 24 before".
  1 25    #7.  Page 3, lines 31 and 32, by striking the words
  1 26 "not be refunded" and inserting the following:  "be
  1 27 refundable".
  1 28    #8.  Page 3, line 33, by striking the word "a." and
  1 29 inserting the following:  "2."
  1 30    #9.  Page 4, by striking lines 7 through 14.
  1 31    #10.  Page 4, line 15, by striking the figure "2."
  1 32 and inserting the following:  "3."
  1 33    #11.  Page 4, line 17, by striking the word
  1 34 "transfer,".
  1 35    #12.  By renumbering, relettering, and
  1 36 redesignating as necessary.
