1 4 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 4 the
1 5 following:
1 6 "# . By striking page 11, line 35, through page
1 7 12, line 7 and inserting the following:
1 8 "13. The department of corrections, to the extent
1 9 permissible by law, shall implement, as soon as
1 10 possible but in no event later than July 1, 1997, a
1 11 program to limit the availability of television to
1 12 inmates in correctional facilities under the control
1 13 of the department to channels representing networks or
1 14 stations for which under normal circumstances a fee is
1 15 not required.""
1 16 #2. Page 1, by inserting after line 14 the
1 17 following:
1 18 "# . Page 36, by inserting after line 2 the
1 19 following:
1 20 " . Section 5, subsection 13, relating to the
1 21 availability of television to inmates in correctional
1 22 facilities, being deemed of immediate importance,
1 23 takes effect upon enactment.""
