  1  1    Amend Senate File 549 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 16, by inserting after line 14 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "It is the intent of the general assembly that the
  1  5 world food prize sponsoring organization be encouraged
  1  6 to become free of state support.  To this end it is
  1  7 the intent of the general assembly to reduce future
  1  8 state appropriations for support of the world food
  1  9 prize by $50,000 annually as follows:  FY 1998-1999,
  1 10 $200,000; FY 1999-2000, $150,000; FY 2000-2001,
  1 11 $100,000; FY 2001-2002, $50,000, and FY 2002-2003 and
  1 12 succeeding fiscal years, no appropriation."
