  1  1    Amend House File 708, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted, by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 15, by inserting after line 10 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  BLUFFLANDS PROTECTION REVOLVING FUND.
  1  6    1.  As used in this section, "blufflands protection
  1  7 Act" means 1997 Iowa Acts, Senate File 167, 1997 Iowa
  1  8 Acts, Senate File 488, or 1997 Iowa Acts, House File
  1  9 150.
  1 10    2.  There is appropriated from the general fund of
  1 11 the state to the blufflands protection revolving fund
  1 12 as created in section 161A.80, as enacted in the
  1 13 blufflands protection Act for the fiscal year
  1 14 beginning July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998, the
  1 15 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary,
  1 16 to be used for the purpose designated:  
  1 17 .................................................. $    250,000
  1 18    For purpose of making loans to conservation
  1 19 organizations which agree to purchase conservation
  1 20 easements on blufflands along the Mississippi river or
  1 21 to purchase blufflands along the Mississippi river for
  1 22 resale with restrictive covenants attached to the
  1 23 property, as provided in the blufflands protection
  1 24 Act.
  1 25    3.  This section takes effect if the blufflands
  1 26 protection Act is enacted."
  1 27    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
