1 2 #1. Page 19, by inserting after line 5 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "4. Notwithstanding section 8.33, and in addition
1 5 to moneys authorized to be encumbered for use by a
1 6 state agency pursuant to section 8.62, moneys
1 7 appropriated for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1 8 1997, to a state agency, except the department of
1 9 corrections, and in an amount equal to the amount the
1 10 state agency expended for purchases from Iowa state
1 11 industries during the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1 12 1997, shall not revert to the general fund of the
1 13 state. A state agency shall expend moneys that do not
1 14 revert to the general fund pursuant to this subsection
1 15 in the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998, for
1 16 technological enhancements. An agency expending
1 17 moneys for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998,
1 18 under this subsection, shall report in detail, as
1 19 provided in section 8.62, subsection 3, how the moneys
1 20 were expended. Moneys under this subsection which
1 21 remain unexpended on June 30, 1999, shall be deposited
1 22 in the cash reserve fund created in section 8.56."
