  1  1    Amend House File 645, as passed by the House, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1, the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Section 1.  Section 321.44A, Code 1997, is amended
  1  6 to read as follows:
  1  7    321.44A  VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION – ANATOMICAL GIFT
  1  8 PUBLIC AWARENESS AND TRANSPLANTATION FUND – AMOUNT
  1  9 RETAINED BY COUNTY TREASURER.
  1 10    For each application for registration or renewal,
  1 11 the county treasurer or the department shall request
  1 12 through use of a written form, and, if the application
  1 13 is made in person, through verbal communication, that
  1 14 an applicant make a voluntary contribution of one
  1 15 dollar or more to the anatomical gift public awareness
  1 16 and transplantation fund established pursuant to
  1 17 section 142C.15.  Moneys Ninety-five percent of the
  1 18 moneys collected in the form of contributions shall be
  1 19 remitted to the treasurer of state for deposit in the
  1 20 fund to be used for the purposes specified for the
  1 21 fund.  The remaining five percent shall be retained by
  1 22 the county treasurer for deposit in the general fund
  1 23 of the county.  The director shall adopt rules to
  1 24 administer this section."
