  1  1    Amend Senate File 503 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 19 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  453A.36A  CIGARETTES AND
  1  5 OTHER TOBACCO PRODUCTS – ADVERTISING, PROMOTIONAL
  1  6 LIMITATIONS.
  1  7    1.  It is unlawful for any person to advertise on
  1  8 any advertising device cigarettes or other tobacco
  1  9 products within one thousand feet of any playground,
  1 10 school, high school, or other facility when such
  1 11 facility is being used primarily by persons under age
  1 12 eighteen for recreational, educational, or other
  1 13 purposes.
  1 14    2.  Any advertising of cigarettes or tobacco
  1 15 products on advertising devices in this state, no
  1 16 matter where located, including but not limited to
  1 17 advertising devices located on public transportation
  1 18 or at the point-of-sale, shall be in black and white
  1 19 text only.
  1 20    3.  Use of the brand name or logo of a cigarette or
  1 21 tobacco product shall not be used in the promotion of
  1 22 any sport or entertainment event held in this state.
  1 23 However, the corporate name of a manufacturer,
  1 24 distributor, wholesaler, retailer, or distributing
  1 25 agent may be used in the promotion of such an event.
  1 26    4.  A person who violates this section is guilty of
  1 27 a serious misdemeanor."
  1 28    #2.  Title page, line 3, by inserting after the
  1 29 word "minors," the following:  "providing for
  1 30 restrictions on advertising related to cigarettes and
  1 31 tobacco products,".
  1 32    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
