    20    Amend Senate Resolution 1 as follows:
    30    #1.  Page 37, by inserting before line 29 the
    40 following:  
    60                        "RULE 45A
    70                   SMOKING RESTRICTED
    90    1.  Smoking is not permitted in the senate chamber
   100 at any time.
   110    2.  Smoking is not permitted in any other meeting
   120 rooms, office areas, or other space under senate
   130 control, except for areas identified under subsection
   140 3.
   150    3.  Room 206 is designated a smoking room for
   160 members of the general assembly and legislative staff.
   170 Smoking may be permitted in room 326A at the
   180 discretion of the majority leader.  The secretary of
   190 the senate will be responsible for clearly marking,
   200 maintaining, policing, and maximizing ventilation in
   210 room 206."
