  1  1    Section 1.  Section 679A.1, subsection 2, paragraph b, Code
  1  2 1997, is amended by striking the paragraph.  
  1  3                           EXPLANATION
  1  4    Under a current Iowa arbitration law exclusion, employment
  1  5 contract clauses submitting future controversies between
  1  6 employers and employees to arbitration are not enforceable.
  1  7 This bill strikes the exclusion, allowing such arbitration
  1  8 clauses to be enforced.
