  1  1    Section 1.  201 Iowa administrative code, rule 50.16,
  1  2 subrule 4, is nullified.
  1  3    Sec. 2.  This Joint Resolution, being deemed of immediate
  1  4 importance, takes effect upon enactment.  
  1  5                           EXPLANATION
  1  6    This Joint Resolution nullifies an administrative rule of
  1  7 the department of corrections applicable to county jails and
  1  8 detention facilities and municipal holding facilities
  1  9 concerning inmate dietary requirements.  The rule to be
  1 10 nullified requires that a jail's food service meet or exceed
  1 11 minimum dietary guidelines which shall be certified by a
  1 12 qualified dietitian.
  1 13    The Joint Resolution is effective upon enactment.
