  1  1    Section 1.  Section 158.7, unnumbered paragraph 4, Code
  1  2 1997, is amended by striking the unnumbered paragraph.  
  1  3                           EXPLANATION
  1  4    This bill provides for the deletion of a provision in Code
  1  5 section 158.7 prohibiting the issuance of a license to operate
  1  6 a barber school in a space in a location where a licensed
  1  7 school of cosmetology is also operating.  With the prohibition
  1  8 deleted, a barber school and a school of cosmetology could be
  1  9 licensed to operate within the same space at a location.
