  1  1    Section 1.  Section 16.161, Code 1997, is amended by adding
  1  2 the following new unnumbered paragraph:
  1  3    NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH.  The authority shall provide a
  1  4 mechanism for the pooling of funds of two or more joint E911
  1  5 service boards to be used for the joint purchasing of
  1  6 necessary equipment to be used in providing E911 service.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill requires the Iowa finance authority to provide a
  1  9 pooling mechanism for the funds of two or more joint E911
  1 10 service boards to be used for joint purchasing of necessary
  1 11 E911 equipment.
