1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 598.23B POSTING OF PHOTOGRAPHS
1 2 – CHILD SUPPORT OR VISITATION VIOLATIONS.
1 3 If a person against whom an order or decree for support has
1 4 been entered pursuant to this chapter or chapter 234, 252A,
1 5 252C, 252F, 600B, or any other support chapter or for whom a
1 6 custody order including visitation rights has been entered,
1 7 willfully disobeys the order or decree, in addition to being
1 8 cited and punished for contempt pursuant to section 598.23 or
1 9 598.23A, the court may order that a photograph of the person
1 10 be posted publicly by the office of the attorney general in
1 11 accordance with rules adopted by the attorney general pursuant
1 12 to chapter 17A.
1 13 EXPLANATION
1 14 This bill provides that in addition to punishment for
1 15 contempt, in the case of a person who willfully disobeys an
1 16 order or decree for child support or for visitation, the court
1 17 may order that the photograph of the person be posted publicly
1 18 by the office of the attorney general in accordance with rules
1 19 adopted by the attorney general.
