  1  4 RELATING TO THE TAX EXEMPTION OF ACTIVE DUTY PAY OF
  1  5    NATIONAL GUARD OR ARMED FORCES MILITARY RESERVE
  1  6    PERSONNEL FOR CERTAIN FOREIGN SERVICE AND PROVIDING
  1  7    AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

  1  9 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: 
  1 10 
  1 11    Section 1.  Section 422.7, Code 1997, is amended by adding
  1 12 the following new subsection:
  1 13    NEW SUBSECTION.  25.  Subtract to the extent included,
  1 14 active duty pay received by a person in the national guard or
  1 15 armed forces military reserve for service performed on or
  1 16 after November 21, 1995, pursuant to military orders related
  1 17 to peacekeeping in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
  1 18    Sec. 2.  This Act, being deemed of immediate importance,
  1 19 takes effect upon enactment.
