  1  1    Section 1.  Section 483A.38, Code 1997, is amended to read
  1  2 as follows:
  1  3    483A.38  FREE FISHING DAYS.
  1  4    The commission may designate one period of the year of not
  1  5 more than three days as free fishing days and during that
  1  6 period the residents and nonresidents may fish and lawfully
  1  7 possess fish without a license.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9    This bill provides that nonresidents may fish without a
  1 10 license during the free fishing days currently designated by
  1 11 the natural resource commission for residents.
