  1  1    Section 1.  Section 99E.10, subsection 1, unnumbered
  1  2 paragraph 2, Code 1997, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    Lottery expenses for marketing, educational, and
  1  4 informational material shall not exceed four percent the
  1  5 amount of the gross lottery revenue contributed to the
  1  6 gambling treatment fund as provided in paragraph "a".  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    The bill limits the amount of money spent by the state
  1  9 lottery for information, education, and marketing to the same
  1 10 amount that is allocated to the gambling treatment fund.
