1 2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
1 3 #1. Page 4, by inserting after line 5 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. ___. RECYCLE IOWA. There is appropriated
1 6 from the general fund of the state to the department
1 7 of natural resources for the fiscal year beginning
1 8 July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999, the following
1 9 amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used
1 10 for the purposes designated:
1 11 For operational support of the recycle Iowa office,
1 12 including salaries, support, maintenance, and
1 13 miscellaneous purposes:
1 14 .................................................. $ 400,000
1 15 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated
1 16 by this section which remain unobligated or unexpended
1 17 on June 30, 1999, shall not revert to the general fund
1 18 of the state but shall be available for expenditure
1 19 during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1999, for the
1 20 same purposes.
1 21 Sec. ___. EDUCATION COORDINATOR. There is
1 22 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
1 23 department of natural resources for the fiscal year
1 24 beginning July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999, the
1 25 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary,
1 26 to be used for the purposes designated:
1 27 For establishing a waste reduction and recycling
1 28 education coordinator for identifying and promoting
1 29 public and private partnerships to maximize all
1 30 available resources and for ensuring that resources
1 31 are available and accessible for local waste reduction
1 32 and recycling efforts, including salaries, support,
1 33 maintenance, miscellaneous purposes, and for not more
1 34 than the following full-time equivalent positions:
1 35 .................................................. $ 100,000
1 36 ............................................... FTEs 1.00
1 37 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated
1 38 by this section which remain unobligated or unexpended
1 39 on June 30, 1999, shall not revert to the general fund
1 40 of the state but shall be available for expenditure
1 41 during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1999, for the
1 42 same purposes."
1 43 #2. Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
1 44 word "Act" the following: "making appropriations for
1 45 recycle Iowa and an education coordinator and".
