  1  3    #1.  Page 5, by inserting after line 29 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec. ___.  APPLICABILITY.  This Act does not apply
  1  6 to an employee who retired from the employment in
  1  7 which the employee was subjected to excessive noise
  1  8 exposure prior to July 1, 1998."
