  1  1    Amend Senate File 2038, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 3 through 8 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "3.  "Person who is mentally incompetent to vote"
  1  6 means a person who has been legally determined to be
  1  7 severely or profoundly mentally retarded, or has been
  1  8 found incompetent to lack the mental capacity to vote
  1  9 in a proceeding held pursuant to section 229.27 222.31
  1 10 or 633.556."
  1 11    #2.  By striking page 2, line 29, through page 3,
  1 12 line 18.
  1 13    #3.  Page 3, by striking lines 25 through 27 and
  1 14 inserting the following:  "persons who at any time
  1 15 during the preceding calendar month have been legally
  1 16 declared to be mentally incompetent to vote."
