1 2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
1 3 #1. Page 21, by striking lines 23 through 32, and
1 4 inserting the following: "subsection 1, the
1 5 legislative council is requested to appoint an interim
1 6 committee to conduct a review of the medical
1 7 assistance prior authorization and prospective drug
1 8 utilization review systems. If created, the interim
1 9 committee shall submit a report, including any
1 10 recommendations for modifications of the systems, to
1 11 the general assembly in January 1999. The members of
1 12 the interim committee should include three members of
1 13 the senate and three members of the house of
1 14 representatives, and should include the participation
1 15 of one representative of the department of human
1 16 services, one representative of the drug utilization
1 17 review commission, two pharmacists, two physicians,
1 18 one consumer, one representative of the medical
1 19 assistance fiscal agent, and two representatives of
1 20 the pharmaceutical industry."
