PAG LIN 1 1 Amend the amendment, H-8881, to Senate File 2280, 1 2 as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as 1 3 follows: 1 4 #1. Page 1, by striking line 7 and inserting the 1 5 following: 1 6 "Of the full-time equivalent positions appropriated 1 7 for in this section, 2.50 FTEs". 1 8 #2. Page 1, by striking lines 22 and 23 and 1 9 inserting the following: 1 10 "Of the full-time equivalent positions appropriated 1 11 for in subsection 1, 1.82 FTEs relate to the 1 12 transition of personnel". 1 13 #3. By striking page 1, line 40, through page 2, 1 14 line 2, and inserting the following: 1 15 "2. a. In addition to the amount appropriated in 1 16 subsection 1, there is appropriated from receipts in 1 17 excess of $1,900,000 deposited into the gambling 1 18 treatment fund pursuant to section 99E.10, subsection 1 19 1, paragraph "a", to the Iowa department of public 1 20 health, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998, 1 21 and ending June 30, 1999, an amount sufficient for 1 22 funding of the allocation made in subsection 3. 1 23 b. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998, and 1 24 ending June 30, 1999, an amount of the tax revenue 1 25 received pursuant to section 99D.15, subsections 1, 3, 1 26 and 4 equal to three-tenths of one percent of the 1 27 gross sum wagered by the pari-mutuel method shall be 1 28 deposited into the gambling treatment fund in addition 1 29 to the other revenue deposited under law. 1 30 c. The amounts appropriated pursuant to paragraph 1 31 "a" shall be based on the most recent projections for 1 32 gross lottery revenue, excursion boat and racetrack 1 33 wagering revenue, and tax revenue derived from pari- 1 34 mutuel wagering, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1 35 1998, and ending June 30, 1999. If the amounts 1 36 appropriated based on the projects are insufficient 1 37 for full funding of the allocations, the allocations 1 38 shall be prorated proportionately. 1 39 3. The moneys appropriated in subsections 1 and 2 1 40 shall be allocated as follows:" 1 41 #4. By striking page 3, line 13, through page 4, 1 42 line 2, and inserting the following: 1 43 "# . By striking page 23, line 32, through page 1 44 24, line 17, and inserting the following: 1 45 "Sec. ___. Section 99E.10, subsection 1, paragraph 1 46 a, Code Supplement 1997, is amended to read as 1 47 follows: 1 48 a. An amount equal to three-tenths of one percent 1 49 of the gross lottery revenue shall be deposited in a 1 50 gambling treatment fund in the office of the treasurer 2 1 of state. The director of the Iowa department of 2 2 public health shall administer the fund and shall 2 3 provide that receipts are allocated on a monthly basis 2 4 to fund administrative costs and to provide programs 2 5 which may include, but are not limited to, outpatient 2 6 and follow-up treatment for persons affected by 2 7 problem gambling, rehabilitation and residential 2 8 treatment programs, information and referral services, 2 9andeducation and preventive services, and financial 2 10 management services."" 2 11 #5.
